The College Council Secretariat is the body that deals with the meetings of the College Council (the highest scientific and administrative authority in the college, which consists of the Dean of the College, the heads of the scientific departments, the scientific and administrative assistants of the Dean, and the Secretary of the College Council) and is directly related to the Dean (Chairman of the College Council). The Secretary of the College Council is responsible for implementing and following up the decisions of the College Council until they reach the concerned authorities for their endorsement, and then supervising their redirection to the relevant authorities to implement the decisions, whether inside or outside the college. Accordingly, the College Council Secretariat is an executive department that facilitates the tasks of the College Council and provides all administrative and secretarial services for everything related to the work of the Council and is directly linked to the President of the College Council, His Excellency the Dean of the College.

 This includes taking all measures and guarantees that drive the quality of the administrative processes of the College Council to ensure the speed and ease of implementation of its decisions, which ensures the success of the college’s vision.

The Council works to receive topics after fulfilling all the justifications and ensuring their compliance with the laws and regulations, preparing memorandums for presentation to the Council according to the nature of each topic, preparing agendas for the sessions, inviting Council members and informing the relevant authorities of the date of the meeting. The Council also prepares a summary of what took place in the Council, which includes everything that was discussed, approved, amended, or rejected in the Council’s session, and submits the minutes to the Dean (Chairman of the Council) to sign it, and then send it to the university’s accreditation bodies for approval, prepare the minutes of the meetings, complete them, and submit them to the Presidency of the University Council for approval, and communicate the decisions issued by the Council after approval and adoption and follow up on their implementation.

Role and functions of the unit

 It includes receiving the minutes of the academic departments, categorizing them and monitoring them in the agenda of the College Council, summoning the members of the Council for scheduled and emergency sessions, ensuring that the members of the Council sign the minutes of the session, editing the Council’s decisions and approving them from the Dean of the College and following up on their submission to His Excellency the President of the University. Also, prepare the resolutions approved by the President of the University and submit them to the competent authorities and departments.
